Classical Conversations: Meets every Tuesday at Gateway Baptist Church in Lake City -Classes for ages 4-12. Kids are divided by their ages and are in classes of about 6-8 children. Each week time is spent memorizing facts in 7 subject areas (history, science, Latin, math, etc.), doing a science experiment, doing an art or music lesson, doing class presentations, and doing a fun review game of the facts they have learned in previous weeks. Afterward families have lunch together. An optional afternoon class is offered for ages 9-12. It covers writing, advanced math, and sentence diagramming. There is also a Challenge program for grades 7-12. Childcare for ages 0-4 is provided! There is a fee for this class.
