Lexington County Museum - Early Christmas Crafts - This tour takes place in a few weeks in December. Tours book up quickly. Try to sign up your homeschool group a few weeks in advance to secure your tour (before these tour times are booked up). If I remember well, your group should spend most of the time in one of the vintage houses which is decorated from an earlier vintage time. This is a well planned tour. Kids make early decorations like pomanders, popcorn strings & gum drop trees. You must have 12 kids for a group to participate in this free (student) tour. I loved this field trip! Seems like we toured a decorated house, another small house, an old separate kitchen & went to another house to make crafts, but I'm not sure if your group will do all of this (so you need to ask). There are other programs available like the Native American Program I & II, should you wish to inquire, but you'll needs to sign up weeks or months in advance.
