Bee City Field Trips for groups of 15 or more. This bee farm is between
Summerville & Walterboro in SC. This website says, "Our classroom contains
beekeeping equipment & learning materials, as well as a glass observation bee
hive. Get a close look at the workers, drone, & the queen." You can choose
between 3 programs ranging from $5 to $13. See this website for info. There is a
honeybee farm, petting zoo, & nature center. We went to the educational program
& petting zoo. We made candles from beeswax. We brought back the honey in the
honeybear bottle. We ate at a picnic table. You can order from a menu 24 hours in
advance. I think, you probably can bring your own picnic lunch. Field trips are
open Tues. to Sat. all year.
