Congaree is a national forest, very beautiful and diverse. See it by walking
the boardwalk, hiking trails, or by canoe. Canoe is limited to 16 people and
for ages 5 and up. It is free ! In 2003, Congaree became the first and only
national park in South Carolina. Until then, it was known as Congaree
Swamp National Monument.
