A fine example of a gilded-age country place constructed by wealthy
industrialists in the 19th century, The Vanderbilt Estate is a fully-
furnished, 54-room mansion offering breathtaking views of the Hudson
River and the distant Catskill Mountains. The Vanderbilt Mansion was the
first home in Hyde Park to have electricity.
Vanderbilt Mansion admission is $10 per person.
Tickets and visitor information are available in the Visitor Center located on the
grounds of the Vanderbilt Mansion.
Children 15 and under are Free
The Grounds and Formal Gardens are free and open everyday from sunrise to
sunset.
The Home is available by guided tour only. Tour times vary throughout
the year. The last tour of the day is 4:00pm. For tour times please
