Higgins Armory Museum

The Higgins Armory Museum is the only museum in the Western Hemisphere entirely devoted to the study & display of arms and armor. Artifacts range from Corinthian helmets of ancient Greece to ornate suits of armor from the height of the Renaissance.

The tour guides are very knowledgeable and they also have a fun room where kids can play a human chess game, play dress up in period costumes, complete with gowns for ladies and helmets for boys. (great picture opportunities here) They also have special events listed on their web site like: Viking Warrior Presentation, Historical Combat Demonstrations, Women & Warfare, 14th Century Knight Presentation and more. Often these are included with the price of admission. The whole family will enjoy.
