Students will learn the basics of ceramics including handbuilding techniques,throwing, trimming and glazing. If subsequent sessions are taken, students can go deeper into the craft and develop more advanced skills. Ceramics has a rich history, and can incorporate math and science concepts, so it's a wonderful educational activity. Over time, students develop problem-solving, gross and fine-motor skills, and a personal aesthetic as they create their own projects. Working in clay is hands on, engaging, fun and relaxing!
We offer an ongoing kids' class on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00. We are
happy to arrange a new class for your group of 4 to 10 students at an alternate time.
$140/5 weeks (includes firing for 1 pc. <6 inches in all dimensions each week,additional firing may be purchased @ 6 cents/cubic inch)
