The Smithsonian National Zoological Park is a 163-acre zoological park set amid Rock Creek National Park in the heart of Washington, D.C.
You can visit the Zoo 364 days a year to see 2,000 individual animals of 400 different species.

Grounds: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admittance 6 p.m.)
Exhibit Buildings: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Zoo is free and open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry passes are required for all guests.
