Kansas Museum of History

This museum contains an amazing collection of exhibits on the
Civil War, Kansas settlement, transportation, agriculture, and more.
Some highlights include a full-sized Cheyenne tipi, a Wichita
grass lodge, a locomotive built in 1880, a 1914 biplane,
and Discovery Place (a hands-on gallery for children).
The museum is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through
Saturday and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Cost of admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students.
Children five and under are free.
There are special rates for groups (with prior notice).
