Pros: My son used this independently for Algebra I. We also used the Test Masters (ISBN 0-7157-1077-3) available; the answer key is in the book. Also in the Test Masters are lots of additional exercises and five sets of word problems for extra practice, if desired. I had to call a zillion people at the publisher's to get ahold of this test book but they are available. There is a midterm and final exam included in the book along with chapter reviews that some have used for chapter tests instead of buying the separate test book. We used the reviews for extra practice after finishing the chapter, before taking the test from the Test Masters. We also used the Answer book containing all the rest of the answers to all the sets also; the text only gives answers to Set II. The text does have all the answers to the midterm and final exam in it. I had my son do Set III and Set IV for every lesson. Set IV is usually one brainstumper kind of question. When he couldn't ''get'' Set IV and I couldn't figure it out either, I didn't worry as he'd done all Set III. This is a very nice text for algebra we think. Different approach than Saxon. There are B.C. cartoons in it even!
